GA8 Airvan

Well, finally started training on the AIrvan GA8, its been a long wait. I did the written exam on Monday, it wasn't too bad. Now I have all the numbers and systems information in my head it was time to apply it. On 

Wednesday we did the first flight, with me as observer and copilot to go over the procedures and yesterday we did a flight with me at the controls.

We went out to the instruction area and did some slow flight, 45 degree bank turns, spiral climbs, power changes and then came in to land. All in all, it was a very nice flight, the plane is very light and responsive on the controls (when trimmed, it has a massive trim wheel with LOTS of travel).

Landing was a non-event. I am looking forward to the next flight and being checked out to take passengers.

Bueno, por fin comencé a entrenar en el Airvan GA8 , ha sido una larga espera. Hice el examen escrito el lunes , no me fue tan malo. Ahora que tengo todos los números y los sistemas del avión en mi cabeza era hora de aplicarlo. 


El miércoles hicimos el primer vuelo, conmigo como observador y copiloto para repasar sobre los procedimientos y ayer hicimos un vuelo pero esta vez conmigo en los controles. Fuimos a la zona de instrucción y hicimos un poco de vuelo lento , virajes escarpados, subida en espiral , cambios de potencia y luego vinimos a aterrizar . En suma , fue un muy buen vuelo , el avión es muy ligero y sensible en los controles (para el trim , tiene una rueda masivo con muchas vueltas para dejarlo bien, pero es sencillo ) ​​. 


El aterrizaje no era drama . Esperando que llegue el próximo vuelo y hacer el check out para llevar pasajeros.
